The Walking Dead returns to PC and consoles next month

Relive the saga and maybe change post-apocalyptic history with The Walking Dead: Destines, arriving in November.

Don’t open, dead inside

Yes, The Walking Dead: Destines is a third-person action title, but it’s a pretty interesting one. While it features the original tale that played out across the AMC TV series, it allows players to actively shake that story up, and pretty wildly. You’ll fight zombies for sure, starting out as main character Rick Grimes, but you’ll also be able to alter key plot points from that story.

Wanna save the villain? You can. How about off the hero? Yep, you can do that too, though according to the press release from GameMill Entertainment and developer Flux Games you’ll have to live with your choices. And on top of all of that too, you’ll have to survive by managing resources and finding weaponry and ammo.

So while some things will undoubtedly change for players as they make their way through the game, the end of the world remains a constant.

In this third-person action-adventure experience, begin your journey as Rick Grimes, waking alone in a hospital surrounded by the dead. Assemble allies and fight your way through the walker apocalypse across iconic locations from The Walking Dead, including Atlanta, the Greene family farm, the prison, and Woodbury. In crucial choice-driven moments, you’ll forever shape the destiny of your team of characters from the series. Heroes and villains, living and dead – it’s up to you to decide whether to stay the course of history or forge your own path through the world of AMC’s The Walking Dead.

GameMill Entertainment press release

The end begins again and the dead rise, when The Walking Dead: Destines arrives on November 17th, 2023. Look for it on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, the Switch, and PC.
