Are traditional “PC” role-playing games back? Yeah, we’re thinking they are, and Zoria: Age of Shattering looks to be the next hit.
Did you get the Wick reference? Proud of that one
It definitely doesn’t have the name recognition of a Baldur’s Gate III, but Zoria: Age of Shattering is still looking pretty sweet. From Trinket Games and publisher Anshar, the title seeks to continue the roll that PC RPG’s have been on.
As with the blockbuster currently rocking and rolling the role-playing landscape, Zoria is a turn-based, strategic RPG. That’s the core of it anyway, though it does a bit more than the norm, with base-building, squad-management, crafting, a dynamic environment, and some quests and areas being dependent on the abilities of specific party members.
It also looks pretty terrific. Have a peek:
Zoria is a single player tactical RPG with turn-based combat, and outpost and follower management, set in an expansive fantasy world. In Zoria, you’ll be tasked with gathering the best warriors and mages to form a team of four that will liberate the Kingdom of Zoria which has fallen prey to the hellspawn that roam its land. Once lush forests, majestic buildings and thriving towns have been transformed into dark, dangerous locales.
Anshar Publishing press release
Zoria: Age of Shattering will launch into a demo period on Steam, starting on August 25th. The full release isn’t far off either, and is targeted before the end of 2023.
