Bringing classically-styled, side-scrolling action, a full level-maker and more, action title 30XX is finally official on the PC.
Robot-smashing action, as you like it
With a dose of inspiration from action/platforming icon Mega Man, 30XX has finally emerged from Early Access and hit the PC with full force. If you’re a fan of the genre, you’re going to want to check this launch trailer out.
“After two years in Early Access, it almost feels surreal to be releasing v1.0 of 30XX out into the wild,” said Batterystaple Games founder, Chris King. “We’re beyond thankful for the unimaginable support we’ve received from our Early Access community, and we’re stoked to see the types of weapon combinations and incredible custom levels players will dream up for 30XX!”

30XX offers up dual modes of play. Fans can div into the Standard Mode, which is a roguelite that encourages players to “Rise, fight, fall, and adapt”, or dig into the Mega Mode. Available in single player and both online and off co-op, Mega Mode lets players blast and/or slice away as Nina or Ace, across randomly generated levels. There they’ll accrue weapon upgrades, augments, and both take down and harness the powers of boss bots.
Along with the game’s stock action too, 30XX delivers one long awaited level editor. Genre fans can forge their own stages, using the very same toolset that the developers did. Given the inspiration for the title, that should get more than a few fans of Capcom’s action classic moving.
30XX is out now for the PC, and will have a Switch edition as well, some time in the “near future”.
