E3 2021: Kingdom Come: Deliverance on the way to Switch

Under the brand new Prime Matter label of Koch Media, the 4 million unit-selling Kingdom Come: Deliverance is marching off to the Switch.

Portable Kingdom

First released in 2018 for the PC, Xbox One, and PS4, Kingdom Come: Deliverance brought a new kind of medieval, open-world RPG. This one wasn’t set in a fantasy universe, but instead the real-world version of dark ages Europe.

Kingdom Come puts players in Bohemia, with a world of natural landscapes and castles to explore laid out in front of them. Heavy on action and role-playing elements, the game found both critical praise and a mighty audience. I guess that much is obvious though, what with the 4 million copies and all.

In any event, the title never made the jump to Nintendo’s Switch, but that’s about to change. It’s basically because of fans clamoring for it over a mistakenly listed PS4 edition of Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition. Funny how that happens.

“It is amazing to see how much involvement and influence gamers worldwide can have on game development. The overwhelming feedback and fan reaction made us reconsider our opportunities and made us sit down with Sabre Interactive, who is the perfect candidate for this ambitious undertaking,”

Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, PR Manager at Warhorse Studios

There’s no release date just yet for Kingdom Come: Deliverance on the Switch, so watch for that plus a look at the new edition in action.
