Dead Island: Definitive Edition gets Retro Revenge Trailer

If you pre-order the definitive edition of Dead: Island, you get access to Retro Revenge, according to a new trailer.

For anyone who hasn’t been sold on the idea of a remaster of the Dead Island games on current consoles, we may have another incentive for you.

The Retro Revenge trailer comes from the Playstation YouTube channel, and it offers something different entirely from the Dead Island property.

cat and truck (???) back. The game comes as a pre-order bonus for the Dead Island Definitive Edition. For someone like me, who has been on the fence about picking up this collection, this is a nice incentive. However, I’m not sure this will put me over the edge to finally buy the game.

I played Dead Island on the Xbox 360 when it first launched, and I was a little less than impressed. The weapon construction and open world were fun, but something really seemed missing. People to play with are an absolute necessity when playing Dead Island. A retro beat-em-up style game may be enough to push someone on the fence over the edge, but I doubt it will move my Overwatch/Uncharted/Doom inundated friends.

Check out the trailer above. Is this enough to get you to  buy Dead Island: Definitive Edition?

Dead Island: Definitive Edition launches on May 31, 2016, and includes Dead Island, Dead Island: Riptide, all of the DLCs, and Retro Revenge. It will retail at $39.99, and will be available for PS4 and Xbox One.
