A familiar storybook character gets a share new take with the latest from J. Scott Campbell’s Fairytale Fantasies Collection.

For those unfamiliar, artist J. Scott Campbell’s Fairytale Fantasies Collection isn’t intended to bring the same-ol’ takes on its line of characters. Instead, the statue line from Sideshow spices its pieces up a bit (or more) with a pin-up style. The result is typically pretty darn striking, and that’s definitely true with The Lady Cheshire Cat Statue.
Reclining on a tree branch, Lady Cheshire leaves little to the imagination as she watches the goings on of Wonderland… or your desktop. The piece is a massive one, at 25″ tall, from root to treetop. It’s also over a foot at its widest, and 16″ deep, so we’d sat a nice big display space would be in order to best showcase the blue beauty.
The Lady Cheshire Cat Statue comes in two varieties, with a Collector Edition and Deluxe Edition. The CE is priced in at $475 USD, and is more or less the ‘standard’ version of the piece, while the Deluxe is $550 USD and comes with a separate companion-statue, starring Nazir the Caterpillar.
Both issuances are up for pre-order right now via Sideshow, with an expected August through November release.
Take a trip down the rabbit hole and meet the dreamy new addition to the collection. The magical and mischievous Lady Cheshire Cat Statue is fully sculpted and measures 25 inches tall, 12.3 inches wide, and 16 inches deep.
Painted in pretty purples, blues, pinks, and greens, this imaginative piece beautifully evokes the strange and surreal atmosphere of Wonderland. Lady Cheshire herself, anthropomorphized to absolute perfection, boasts beautiful blue striped fur and a vintage hairstyle. Leaves flourish alongside bountiful mushrooms and other fantastical flora, as she stretches out on a colorful canopy above curious signposts, grinning at anyone who wanders onto the peculiar path below.
The Deluxe Edition includes a proximity piece to immerse you deeper into Wonderland. Wearing a fez, Nazir the Caterpillar sits atop a mushroom while smoking a hookah pipe. With his green skin, purple spots, and red hat, this little fellow is a delightful companion to Lady Cheshire.
