Capcom Fighting Collection 2 announced, coming in 2025

If you thought the Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection was it for Capcom’s classic cavalcade, think again. There’s more coming in 2025.

Back to the glory days. Again.

Is Capcom on a retro-roll or what? The company dropped the Capcom Fighting Collection a few years back, and now is poised to deliver Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics this fall. But while that’s a more than healthy dose of classic fighting games between those two titles, there’s even more on the horizon.

Just revealed today, Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is en route for 2025, and is packed with eight hit fighting games. Like in the other two collections, there are some games included here that haven’t been seen anywhere in ages, and that includes both Power Stone releases.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is a lights-out collection of fighting games and fun-filled classics hitting modern platforms for the first time, including:

  • Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro
  • Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001
  • Capcom Fighting Evolution
  • Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER
  • Project Justice
  • Power Stone
  • Power Stone 2
  • Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein

Capcom press release

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will of course feature a full online suite, including rollback netcode. On top of that, the pack will include a training mode (for use with all of its included games), customization options, various “gameplay balance adjustments and quality of life improvements”, a museum, 14 supported languages, and mid-game saves. We like that last point a ton.

While Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is dropping next month (November physically), Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is still a ways out. We actually don’t have a release date just yet for it, though it is expected in 2025 for the Switch, PS4, and PC (via Steam). Yes, that’s right, once again Capcom is completely snubbing the Xbox and will be bypassing the current generation PlayStation console.
