Dracula comes to Dead by Daylight with Castlevania crossover this month

The iconic Castlevania is crossing over into horror game Dead by Daylight, bringing both Dracula and Trevor Belmont.

What is a man?

Yes, as we all know, “a miserable pile of secrets”. At least, that’s according to Dracula, who’s making his way to the horror game (really a platform at this point), Dead by Daylight. The survival-horror title sees the vampire lord arrive later this month, complete with his famed castle looming in the distance and his various powers relatively intact.

Not just a random killer or run of the mill supernatural haunt, Dracula is the first vampire to appear in Dead by Daylight (that’s insane) and has several different form. Drac has the ability to transform into a silent and swift bat, a wolf that’s capable of tracking players, and of course his standard form. That’s the likely the most powerful of them all, as he can wield a powerful flame attack to turn foes into dust.

Standing in opposition to him is a new survivor too, with Castlevania III’s Trevor Belmont. Unfortunately for him though, Trevor finds himself without the Vampire Killer, his fabled whip. He does have “unmatched skills as a vampire hunter”, according to the press release, but uh… we kind of have no idea what that might mean.

Nevertheless, both are looking slick here in this first-look:

With Castlevania’s Dracula, Dead by Daylight welcomes both its first shapeshifting Killer, as well as its first vampire to The Fog. Regal, imposing, and wholly terrifying, Dracula’s disdain for humankind is matched only by his bloodlust – making The Entity’s Realm a perfect hunting ground for the nightwalker.

Behaviour Interactive press release

The vampire stirs and his fangs are bared, as Dracula is ready to inflict some pain on Dead by Daylight players starting this very month. The Castlevania crossover officially begins with the DLC drop on August 27th.
