Yes, WWE’s Rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes, and Rey Mysterio are on the way for Call of Duty, but Season 5 is loaded with tons more too.
From the top rope
Call of Duty has had some oddball crossovers over the years, but the latest actually kind of makes sense. While we’re aware that WWE wrestlers aren’t exactly war-zone operators, they at least represent some tough human beings. So to be able to run around in Call of Duty’s latest season as the likes of Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and the iconic Rey Mysterio is… well it’s kinda neat.
As mentioned above though, the latest seasonal drop includes a lot more than just those three grapplers. Fans are also able to blast their way through a pair of new Core 6v6 maps, plus some new modes, and a new multiplayer map and mode for Warzone Mobile. But wait, there’s more, as the final map for last year’s zombies mode is included as well, plus the launch of the Superstore in Urzikstan.
Ripley returns too, along with Valeria and Ivan Alexxeve, as headliners for the Battle Pass, which also includes an “animated” operator skin (in the form of Reckoner) as the latest BlackCell offering. And did we mention that there’s a limited, timed WWE SummerSlam event happening too? Yep, look for that to cap off the month, on July 31st.
Get ready for action once again, as there’s going to be a heck of a lot of new stuff to play when Season 5 arrives next week for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Warzone. Watch for it to land for consoles and the PC on July 24th.
