The balance of power is about to change in the Marvel universe

The close of Blood Hunt is going to alter things quite a bit in the Marvel U, as the vampires overrunning the globe will be united under… Blade?

Well, how about that?

One of Marvel’s biggest supernatural heroes, Blade is about to take on a massively different role. It’s all happening in the pages of Blood Hunt’s finale, where the vampires that have been running rampant are set to unite under the Daywalker.

So does that mean Blade is becoming a villain? Well, there’s one big thing about that. Namely, that we already know that Blade has a new series launching in the wake of Blood Hunt. And from the looks of that (which you can check out here) he doesn’t look like he’s a villain in it.

Nevertheless, Blood Hunt #5 is looking like it might be a bloody good time.

The saga kicked off last month as Earth was enveloped in darkness and overrun by hordes of vampires united for the first time in millennia by a new master—Blade! The opening issues saw the Avengers defeated by a band of super vampires known as the Blood Haven, heroes like Doctor Strange and Black Panther turned into blood suckers, and Bloodline, the daughter of Blade, tasked with taking her father down! Things have never been more dire, and the cost to reverse the world’s fate will have dramatic ramifications for the foreseeable future of Marvel storytelling. Today, fans can get a sneak peek at the startling finale, BLOOD HUNT #5, as well as check out all the covers, including Gabriele Dell’Otto’s full connecting piece that ran across all five issues.
