If you missed this weekend’s deeper look at Konami’s forthcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, you’re gonna want to check this out.
Snaaaaaaaaake eater
Debuting at the Xbox Games Showcase from this past weekend, Konami’s remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 is looking just as good as you might’ve hoped. Now called Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the game is a ground-up remake of the original with all the trimmings.
According to the publisher, Snake Eater will include the “gripping story and engrossing world” from the PS2-era release, and will even stock the original’s control scheme. Not that you’ll have to use those controls however, as Konami adds that players can change things up, with a “more modern control style”.
Along with the stunning new look, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will feature 3D audio, which should make for an even more immersive experience. Unfortunately the game is still light on a release date, as Konami is playing it pretty tight with that little detail.
There was a posting from GameStop that indicated a November launch just yesterday, but that’s been since retconned, and the retailer now says the listing was in error. So, maybe watch the trailer a few dozen more times, and we’ll have any release info for you as soon as it’s (finally) revealed.
