Vicious, freakish, and loaded for bear, Killing Floor 3‘s menagerie is going to take some serious firepower to deal with.
The freaks come out at night
Fresh from the PC Gaming Show, which is a part of the super different than E3 series of events that’s rolling right now, comes the newest glimpse of Killing Floor 3. Continuing the co-op action of the first two installments, developer and publisher Tripwire Interactive’s newest looks to up the ante in a few ways.
Chiefly among those might be the look, with the game looking terrific in this new trailer, which features a brutal assortment of foes to off and some slick weaponry to do said offing with. Along with all of that, the first three of the game’s Nightfall specialists are showcased, and they include the returning Mr. Foster.
All playable specialists will have access to weapon customization, military gadgets, and a “set of skills and proficiencies”. The latter will presumably play into the game’s new level structure, which will feature more expansive vertical elements, and might come in handy when dealing with some of the game’s more brutal monsters.
Chief among those, at least from the look of this new trailer, is the Impaler. It’s a massive beast, with a gigantic retractable knife mounted on its head. Yep.
Killing Floor 3 is the next installment in the legendary co-op action/horror FPS series. The year is 2091, 70 years after the events in Killing Floor 2, and megacorp Horzine has produced the ultimate army: an obedient horde of bio-engineered monstrosities called Zeds. Now, the only thing standing between these infernal creations and the future of humanity is the rebel rogue group known as Nightfall. This intense first-person shooter puts players in the role of a Nightfall specialist, joining forces with up to five teammates as they battle through a war-ravaged, dystopian future, surviving unrelenting waves of Zeds, unlocking new skills, and building the ultimate arsenal.
