Limited Run’s new Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection roars onto consoles and PC today

While it’s not out on physical formats just yet, the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection is ready for play right now digitally.

Games ah find a way

An absolute entertainment and pop culture icon, it’s tough to overstate how big Jurassic Park’s impact was back in the 90s. Popular enough as a book but then stratospherically huge as a movie, the film would birth not only a series under the JP label, but the eventual Jurassic World as well. And that’s not to mention all the games.

There’ve been plenty of those over the years since that original motion picture debuted, though its arguable whether any of the subsequent titles could beat the pure fun of the first few rounds. The games that graced the Sega Genesis, SNES, and even Game Boy were some gems, and they’re seemingly all included in a new collection from Limited Run Games.

Presented first as a timed pre-order for disc and cart-based formats, Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection is landing first with its digital editions. Those are out right now for basically all modern platforms, and you can scroll down and hit ‘play’ to check out the launch trailer.

The 8-bit and 16-bit era of Jurassic Park games has returned. This nostalgic release includes a lineup of classic titles and adds new features, including save states for each game, new in-game maps, and various quality-of-life fixes that bring these titles into the modern era of gaming. The additions and extras added to this collection are carefully curated to celebrate the legacy of the 1993 film from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment and this set of games.
