It’s time for console players to knock over Jagged Alliance 3’s brutal regime, as the turn-based title arrives on Xbox and PlayStation.
Jagged little tactical strategy game
If you don’t know, Jagged Alliance 3 launched earlier this year on the PC to quite a bit of acclaim. The turn-based, strategy game brought the property back from the land of the spin-off for a proper third outing, and apparently did so in grand fashion.
Set in Grand Chien, a nation in political chaos, JA3 tasked players with recruiting and controlling a group of mercenaries. But its adventure doesn’t seem a straightforward one, as those mercs will have to explore the island country, engage with the population and take on missions to earn money, and grow the team. Oh, and don’t forget why you’re there either, as Grand Chien isn’t getting any safer or more stable.
Grand Chien, a nation of rich natural resources and deep political divides, is thrown into chaos when the elected president goes missing and a paramilitary force known as “The Legion” seizes control of the countryside. Now, the President’s family has pulled together all their resources, including an arrangement with the powerful Adonis corporation, to hire a group of skilled mercenaries tasked with finding the President and bringing order back to the country.
THQ Nordic press release
Jagged Alliance 3 is out today for both Xbox and PlayStation platforms, and features cross-gen multiplayer. So yes, PS4 players can team up with those gaming on a PS5, and the same for Xbox fans. The title is also still out for its original home on the PC, and even has a Steam demo available if you’d like to try before you buy.
