Gamescom 23: The Time I Have Left bends JRPG gameplay with horror themes and a race against the clock

Striking in terms of visuals, GROUND Game Atelier’s turn-based RPG The Time I Have Left gives hero Aline six hours to live.

What will you do?

Afflicted with an unknown condition, Aline finds herself trapped deep in a mysterious facility. With only six hours left to live, she sets out, determined to make her escape. That’s not easy though, given a flow of near-death experiences that pit her against horrid beasts of the netherrealm.

From developer GROUND Game Atelier, The Time I Have Left uses traditional turn-based mechanics to tell its tale, together with that time-limit. That will encourage multiple play-throughs as GROUND says there’ll be plenty of secrets that you just won’t have time to discover on just one campaign.

As you’ll see in the trailer below too, The Time I Have Left has no shortage of visual flair, with a striking use of light, dark, and color.

In six hours, you will be dead. The Time I Have Left is a time-driven exploration game with RPG elements and a big focus on storytelling. Play as Aline, a woman affected by a mysterious condition that marks her for certain death. Players will guide Aline in a race against time to escape an enormous underground complex, Colony 7. What will you do with the time you have left?

GROUND Game Atelier press release

The Time I Have Left is set to debut on the PC some time in 2024. Steam wish-listing is open now.
