Sixth scale Doom Slayer figure on the way from Dark Horse

Well this is kinda out of nowhere. But as a first offering from Dark Horse, the upcoming 1/6th Doom Slayer from Doom Eternal is pretty awesome.

Rip and tear until it’s done

So here we are, in the year 2023 and there’s still no comprehensive Doom action figure line. Nothing based on the classic 90s versions of the characters, and nothing based on the modern incarnations. Sure we had a brief glimpse of something a few times, but it’s been fleeting, and your guess is as good as ours as to why. Doom should be pretty popular, in terms of action figures, after all.

To make a long story short, this announcement out of Dark Horse still isn’t for a full line of figures, but it’s tog not to get psyched for it anyway. After all, it isn’t every day that there’s an announcement for a new 1/6h scale Doom Slayer, with all the trimmings.

The 12″ demon hunter was created by high-end toy-maker Mondo, with “prototyping and painting ” by Hector Arce. You might know the Mondo name best from its excellent looking Masters of the Universe figures. If you do, you have an idea of what to expect here. And maybe also some hope for additional figures? We can dream anyway.

Oh and when we say “all the trimmings”, we mean it. Because man is this Dark Horse Exclusive edition of the Slayer one packed ancient alien.

  • Doom Slayer ⅙ Scale Action Figure (Classic Praetor Suit)
  • Equipment Launcher/Shoulder Cannon
  • Doom Blade
  • BFG 9000
  • Chainsaw
  • Crucible Sword
  • Heavy Rifle
  • Plasma Gun
  • Super Shotgun with Meat Hook
  • Lost Soul (includes acrylic stand)
  • Four (4) interchangeable right hands
  • Four (4) interchangeable left hands

Is this the most heavily-armed Doom Slayer ever produced? Could be. And it could be added to your collection for the cost of $295 USD. If you do want one though, you might want to pre-order fast, because Dark Horse has also announced that the edition size is just 666 pieces. Demonic? Yes. But also cause to put on some speed and head to Dark Horse’s shop.

The Doom Slayer is set to ship out some time between November of this year and January of 2024.
