Predator comes to the Marvel U, on a collision course with Wolverine this fall

It was probably a foregone conclusion, but the Predator is indeed coming to Marvel Comics superhero universe, and his target is one feral X-Man.

A dream match for likely more than a few fans, Wolverine will be squaring off against a Yautja in an upcoming tale. But what’s in store for readers might not be exactly how they thought a battle between the two titans would be told. That’s because, in true comic book style, Predator is set to be retconned into Marvel continuity.

The cold-blooded killer that will be hunting Wolverine this September will be one who the X-Man has met before. In fact, he’ll be a Yautja who’s hunted Logan throughout his adult life, stalking him time and again, trying to finally claim the unkillable mutant’s skull.

THE THRILL IS THE KILL! Wolverine has lived one of the longest and most storied lives in comics history. Now witness the untold greatest battles of Logan’s life – against a Predator! One Yautja seeks the greatest prey in existence – and finds it in Weapon X. From the blood-ridden snows of the Canadian wilderness to the sword-slinging streets of Madripoor, Wolverine and a Predator break everything in their paths on their way to the ultimate victory…or glorious death.

Marvel Comics press release

Presented in mini-series format, Predator versus Wolverine will be penned by Benjamin Percy, a self-reported huge fan of both properties. And on the flip side, Marvel has lined up a list of talent to lend their pencils, including “Greg Land, Andrea Di Vito, Ken Lashley, Kei Zama, and many more”.

Look for Predator versus Wolverine #1 (of 4) on the racks on September 20th, 2023.
