Marvel’s Midnight Suns launching on Xbox One and PS4 next week, Switch version canned

There’s a bit more Marvel’s Midnight Suns news today, as 2K revealed the latest vampiric DLC with Blood Storm, and news about additional versions.

Well that’s kinda of a mixed bag

So, first, Blood Storm is coming. A part of Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ vampire-focus DLC storyline, the X-Men’s Storm will be included in the game for the first time, and she’s set to bring the thunder and the lightning.

Blood Storm adds in the title hero as a playable, but also brings with it both new missions and an unlockable “final showdown”. While it sounds like you can play the Blood Storm story all by itself, beating it and the previously released Deadpool, Venom, and Morbius packs will open up a new challenge. 2K isn’t saying what that is exactly, but it’ll apparently be “an age-old monster of myth”.

The pack will launch for all versions of Marvel’s Midnight Suns on May 11th, which is the same day that the game comes to Xbox One and PS4. You’ll be able to get the full DLC schedule for those new platforms too, if you get the Season Pass, or the Legendary Edition of the game.

You’ll notice though, that we didn’t mention the Switch version. Unfortunately, and according to 2K, that’s been canceled. So if you were looking forward to a little portable Marvel Comics action, it’s not in the cards.
