There’s a whole mess of deadites waiting to wreak havoc on players in Evil Dead: The Game – Game of the Year Edition. It’s out now for consoles and PC.
Good, bad…
“Game of the Year”? Well, consider it a self-title, as I don’t think Evil Dead: The Game garnered any wins in that category for 2022. Not that it looks like a bad game by any stretch, as it seems pretty slick.
If you don’t know, while Evil Dead is playable as a single-player title, it’s meant to be a multiplayer romp. And at that, an asymmetrical one. A team of players gets together as ‘survivors’, and one stars as a deadite, ready to slaughter those humans and swallow their souls. Of course, that’s easier said than done when said survivors contain heroes from across the property’s history (including Ash himself).
Then again, with all of that in consideration, and the fact that over 3 million players have rocked out with Evil Dead: The Game, maybe it does deserve a GotY edition. And if you’re not one of those players, then that GotY edition is gonna be the one to grab, as it’s absolutely loaded.
Evil Dead: The Game – Game of the Year Edition packages the full base game with a massive variety of goodies from multiple DLC sets, including the “Classics Bundle,” “Army of Darkness Medieval Bundle,” “Evil Dead 2013 Bundle,” “Hail to the King Bundle,” and “Immortal Power Bundle.” Unlock bonus playable Survivors and Demons with unique powers and abilities, including Mia, David, Ruby, and the Blacksmith. A ton of groovy cosmetics are also part of the package, including the Ash S-Mart Uniform outfit, Ash Gallant Knight outfit, and Ash Savini Alternate outfit. Players will unlock a number of in-game items that have been added to the game in post-launch updates since its original release, as well.

Aside from the above too, GotY owners will get the “Who’s Your Daddy” bundle. That DLC pack was just launched, and includes Ash’s dad Brock Williams, as well as the Schemer demon, and new outfits for Ash, Amanda, and Pablo.
