The Clone Wars’ armored Obi-Wan is coming up from Hot Toys

Decked out in his armor as a General in the Grand Army of the Republic, comes Hot Toys’ version of Obi-Wan Kenobi as seen in The Clone Wars.

You know the line

With a number of Clone Wars era figures either out there already or on the way, Hot Toys is really filling out the roster for fans. And while there are a few Obi-Wan’s out already, this one’s kind of key.

General Kenobi might not have been seen in his armor on the big screen, but he sure was in the The Clone Wars animated series. This figure pulls its inspiration right from that appearance, with a few cosmetic alterations of course.

While there is a Clone Wars line that keeps the animated aesthetic, this release is a part of Hot Toys’ main lineup. That meaning that it’s done in a realistic style, that showcases the visage of actor Ewan McGregor instead of the angular, stylized Obi-Wan from the show.

Still, if you dig that look for the Jedi, this is pretty great.

As part of Hot Toys’ Television Masterpiece Series, this new figure features a hand-painted headsculpt with a detailed likeness of Obi-Wan Kenobi. The portrait also utilizes Hot Toys’ innovative rolling eyeball technology, giving collectors the ability to adjust the figure’s gaze when posing it for display. Wearing an expertly tailored Jedi outfit with chest and shoulder armor inspired by his appearance in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the Obi-Wan Kenobi 1/6 Scale Figure also comes equipped with a blue LED light-up lightsaber™, as well as an interchangeable light-up “in motion” blade and lightsaber hilt. Accessories include a Clone Trooper™ helmet, binoculars, and a holocaster with a hologram figure of Anakin Skywalker.

Sideshow Toys press release

Obi-Wan Kenobi is up for pre-order right now via Sideshow Toys, and is priced in at $279 USD. Look for him to ship out some time in the first half of 2024.
