New Mega Man collection bundles 10 pack of Battle Network titles

A fifth Mega Man collection is on the way from Capcom, this time bringing together 10 of the Blue Bomber’s handheld “Battle Network” games.

Always connected

Mega Man has had a few varying incarnations over the years. But whether you’re talking about the original or X, he’s always been an action-iorioented character. Right? Well, not so fast, because you’ve forgotten about Battle Network.

A set of handheld games from Capcom, Mega Man Battle Network is a turn-based RPG series. And yes, that’s about as different as you can get from traditional Mega Man adventures. And now Capcom will be bringing this unique version of the character back around again, for the modern gaming audience.

The full series of 10 games will be included in this new collected edition, dubbed Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection.

  • Mega Man™ Battle Network
  • Mega Man™ Battle Network 2
  • Mega Man™ Battle Network 3 White
  • Mega Man™ Battle Network 3 Blue
  • Mega Man™ Battle Network 4 Red Sun
  • Mega Man™ Battle Network 4 Blue Moon
  • Mega Man™ Battle Network 5 Team Protoman
  • Mega Man™ Battle Network 5 Team Colonel
  • Mega Man™ Battle Network 6 Cybeast Gregar
  • Mega Man™ Battle Network 6 Cybeast Falzar

Aside from the games, Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will include multiple filters, including the untouched original visuals. On top of that, you’ll also get “over 1,000 pieces of concept art, character sketches, and official illustrations in the collection’s Gallery”.

But wait, because we’re not done yet. The collection will also include a music player with over 180 tracks, and something called “Mystery Data”. That’ll be packed with “exclusive illustrations from past events and images of licensed goods from this era of Mega Man™ titles”.

All in all, it’s a pretty beefy collection, and kind of a can’t miss for those who are into the games. Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will be landing on the PS4, Switch, and PC some time in 2023.
