Trailer: Phantom Beasts joins Steam Next Fest with playable demo

For a few more days, you’ll be able to get some hands-on time with Ready Steady’s Phantom Beasts, a 2D, neon-lit, cyberpunk shooter with a bite.

Indie studio Ready Steady Games announce today their debut game, Phantom Beasts: Redemption — a heart-stopping 2.5D side-scrolling shooter set in a dystopic, post-apocalyptic city, controlled by all-powerful corporations and best by roaming gangs, deadly mutants… and the strange phenomenon of the Phantom Beasts. These mystical creatures with astonishing powers are savage and unpredictable — but sometimes they allow certain people to bond with them, lending them their unique powers to help them survive in the unforgiving streets.

As mentioned, Phantom Beasts is a part of Steam’s Next Fest, a currently rolling festival that showcases upcoming games. As a part of that, it’s also got a demo that’s fully playable for PC gamers, and of course is also free. You can check that out here til the 7th of this month, so for only a few more days.

In terms of a full release, there’s nothing set just yet for Phantom Beasts. So stay tuned.
