Severed Steel is one gorgeous looking FPS, that has a focus on high-octane stunts. Set for release on the PC, it’s also got a beta test coming up next week.
Severed beta
This is one that I’ve somehow missed, but wow does Severed Steel look gorgeous. Coming out of Digerati and Greylock Studio, the game’s claim to fame is a stunt system that puts the emphasis on stylish takedowns.
Oh, and the hero only has one arm. So that’s pretty unique too.
Severed Steel is a single-player FPS featuring a fluid stunt system, destructible voxel environments, loads of bullet time, and a unique one-armed protagonist. It’s you, your trigger finger, and a steel-toed boot against a superstructure full of bad guys. Chain together wall runs, dives, flips, and slides to take every last enemy down.
Digerati
Like what you see? Well then you’re in luck, because there’s a beta test coming up in short order. Set for July 14th through the 21st, the beta will be for PC gamers only, and include a look at quite a bit.
The test will include:
- 10 campaign levels
- 10 arcade mode levels
- New game modifying ‘mutators’ (including ‘floor is lava’ and ‘dive into wall run’)
- New enemies (including jetpacks and flamethrowers)
