Changes are rolling in Marvel Comics’ Thor book. Odin has returned, Donald Blake is in a work of hurt, and now even Cap is in the mix.
Trouble brewing
I haven’t been reading, but it seems like there’s a heck of a lot to like with what’s happening in writer Donny Cates’ Thor as of late. Not only is Odin back, not only is there a new villainous Hel about, not only is the long-missing Donald Blake once again on the scene, but the metal arm and tiara are both gone too! Yep, looks like Thor is back in something close to his classic look. What’s not to like?
Now, why he’s facing off with Captain America, Marvel isn’t saying. Check out the press release text below.
Following the events of “Prey,” the wounds of Donald Blake have not yet healed, and new Hel is afoot! With all inhabitants back in Asgard, and Odin’s presence returned after being away so long, an air of tension now sits upon the throne! Father and son. All-Father and All-Father. Odin and Thor. Is this relationship forever doomed, and what does it mean for the Ten Realms? Check out Coipel’s cover below as well as a variant cover by Nic Klein and don’t miss the start of this Midgard-shaking new arc when THOR #15 hits stands on July 14th!
