Udon launching collector pin portal

Enamel pins have become big business over the last few years, and Udon is set to dive in in a big way. The company’s new online pin portal opens soon.

Pin-terest

While there have always been pins featuring comic book and video game characters, the trend has caught fire recently. It’s kind of like the 80s all over again. And right there in the middle of this pin-surgence is comic and art book publisher Udon.

The company has been in the thick of the pin biz for a while, but now they’re really ramping things up. Udon will be opening a special online “pin portal” next month, featuring their stock.

Fans will be able to log on and buy the latest and greatest, including pins featuring big name properties. Pins from IP’s like “Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, Mega Man, Monster Hunter, Okami, Persona, Evangelion, Robotech, and more” will all be present at different times, to add to your collection.

Udon says that special “fan favorites” will make their way to the store occasionally too. So if you missed something that you want, you never know, it just might pop up again.

If you’re interested, make sure you’re there for the launch of the store because there’ll be two new pins going up just for the event. Both will be Mega Man in theme, featuring the blue bomber himself and Zero. Both are jumbo size too, so these are pretty impressive, at 2.5″ in length. They will run you $15 USD each.

All of the above goes down on June 1st. Log onto the official Udon pin portal (right here) on that day, and check out what’s new.
