Sharpen your blade and load your quiver, strap on your sandals, enter the colosseum, and get ready for buckets of cartoony blood and gore in Gorn.
Are you not entertained?
Familiar with developer Free Lives’ Gorn? If not, and you’re a VR gamer, then you might want to be. First entering into Early Access on the PC way back in 2017, Gorn is a gladiatorial sim with a hugely cartoony bent to it, and over-the-top blood and gore.
In the game’s VR world, gamers will be able to engage into combat with savage warriors. And of course, this all happens in front of a cheering crowd of fans floating heads in the arena.
As mentioned, the game has finally left Early Access. That not only means a full retail release, but also a debut on the PS4’s PSVR. Check it out in action below.
Ridiculous? Insane? Unintelligible? Yep, and it also looks like a heck of a lot of fun. Just be aware, if you’re intending to dive in, that publisher Devolver Digital says that you’d best be careful while you play.
Apparently Gorn has resulted in a few player and environmental injuries on ye olde PC. Think smashed screens, broken lights, and even a dislocated kneecap. So just be careful if you play, would you? The arena (and, allegedly, your living room) is a dangerous place.
Gorn is out now for PSVR and virtual reality on Steam.
