In the works for a while, Scorn is looking creepier and more terrifying than ever. And now the first-person/horror game is coming to Xbox Series X.
Scorning the X
You might’ve seen Ebb Software’s Scorn before. The first-person, horror title looks like biomechanical terror through and through, in the vein of Geiger’s Alien. Though Scorn looks much more demonic than otherworldly.
As of today too, and the Xbox 20/20 brief, we know that the formerly PC-only game will be making its way to the Xbox Series X. It sounds like a timed console-exclusive too, so if you want to play Scorn at launch, then it’s either PC or the Series X.
Even better for horror fans who’ll be getting a Series X, the game will be arriving during the console’s launch window. So if you are planning on getting one and will be picking up Scorn, then you’re in for a world of unsettling fright.
“For us as developers it’s imperative to present Scorn in the best way possible. The distinctive art style is only half the story – the other half is having all the technical parts of the game running smoothly. That’s where our partnership with Microsoft and their next generation Xbox Series X console comes in. Xbox Series X is an extremely capable piece of hardware that will enable us to run Scorn at 4k 60fps with all the graphical bells and whistles. Ease of development and raw processing power are the primary reasons we chose to go exclusively with Xbox Series X. Players on Series X will experience an uncompromising version of Scorn.”
