The Nintendo is about to get odd. Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee is coming back, this time on the Switch and in enhanced form.
Hit the odd switch
Fans haven’t seen a new game in the Oddworld franchise for a while now, though the classics have all been coming back around in one way or another. From the original game to Stranger’s Wrath, Oddworld Inhabitants has found ways to keep its IP relevant.
That includes, of course, Munch’s Oddysee. Originally released on the PSOne, Munch’s Oddysee casts players as an amphibian hero, who’s not completely adapted to working on land. Good thing then, that he has Abe at his side for part of his quest.
As you’ll see too, this classic game is looking great, thanks to a boost in graphics. Munch now runs in HD, and at 60fps on the Switch.
If you like what you see, then you’ll be happy to know that the “ecologically minded” game is set to arrive on Nintendo’s platform on May the 14th. So just a few weeks down the line.
And while it will initially be eShop only, those who prefer physical copies will get their wish. Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee will be getting a boxed edition later this year.
