Grab some double XP for Modern Warfare from Walmart

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is just about here, and those looking to get a leg up in the multiplayer will want to see what Walmart is offering.

MEGAXP

No, that’s not gibberish in the subheading above, MEGAXP is what you can nab for yourself at Walmart. So if you’re buying Call of Duty: Modern Warfare this Friday, and you plan on diving into the multiplay, you might want to plan a trip.

Working with publisher Activision, the retailer has a few options set up to get you moving faster in-game. First, and probably primarily, you can buy the FPS at Walmart to get a nice little experience bump. That comes in the form of a pretty solid 3 hours of double XP play.

That’s not even close to the only way to dig in though, as buying “select products” at the superstore will also get you bonuses. Something called MEGAXP can be had by picking up specific products from:

  • Doritos
  • Mountain Dew
  • Game Fuel
  • Slim Jim
  • Totinos
  • Bioworld Apparel
  • MacFarlane Toys

What is MEGAXP? I’m not exactly sure. Walmart’s own site infers that MEGAXP is a step up from double XP, but doesn’t hint further. Then again though, I’m not huge into Call of Duty multiplayer. If you are, then you probably know a lot better than I what this might mean. Even if it is just more double XP, well, that could mean that you could gain a heck of a lot more of it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare lands on consoles and the PC this Friday, October 25th. You can read more about the deal from Walmart here.
