Remedy shows off a bit of Control’s story in new trailer

One of the more interesting looking games of 2019, Control just got a little more detail in an awesome new trailer from Remedy.

Max Control

Yes, that was none other than Max Payne himself, actor James McCaffrey doing the voice over as the head of “Control”. Now we know a little more about that too, and what the title of the latest game from Remedy and 505 Games’ means.

McCaffrey plays bureau chief Zachariah Trench, as he walks players through a brief intro to the universe of Control. From the sound of it, it comes off as a cross between X-Files, Fringe, and Stranger Things.

The long and the short of it, is that agents stumbled across something called The Oldest House in decades past. The house looks normal on the outside, but is expansive inside. Its multitude of rooms holds more than just folded space though, as there are dangers there that include things from other realities intruding into them.

We get a glimpse of those horrors above, as we see some kind of monsters stalking the halls of what I assume is Control headquarters. In any event, the game’s looking great, and just keeps getting more and more interesting the more we see of it.

Stay tuned, there’ll be much more to come on this one before it lands on consoles and the PC sometime in 2019.
