New wireless gaming mouse coming soon from SteelSeries

Peripheral master SteelSeries has two fresh gaming mice coming up with the impressive looking Rival 650 Wireless and Rival 710.

New power

SteelSeries is pretty well known as a force in the PC gaming space. The company has made all manner of peripheral items including headsets, keyboards, and of course mice. That’s what we’ve got here, with two big new gaming mice announced by the company.

The Rival 710

First, there’s the Rival 710, which has got a more traditional setup. The 710 is wired, something that I think is still preferred by many PC gamers. Starring the “TrueMove3 sensor and 60-million click switch durability” the 710 also includes some pretty stunning new features.

The mouse has a force-feedback system built in, as well as an “OLED display for notifications and customization”. That’s pretty awesome sounding right there. Both the alert system and the vibration settings can be tailored as well, so you can adjust them to your liking.

The OLED menu also gives you the ability to mess around with “sensitivity settings, button mapping settings” and even switch profiles. On top of that, you can also change its look by adding in your own gamer name or logo. Cool stuff.

The Rival 650 Wireless

As for the Rival 650 Wireless, well, it’s wireless. And it’s also got pretty much every other hook that you can imagine going for it. The mouse operates on 2.4GHz and is being touted for it’s low latency. And with a 12,000 CPI, 350 IPS optical sensor, the 650 should be a solid choice for most gamers.

This mouse is also fully customizable, including movable parts, a weight system, and yes – lighting. Maybe the coolest feature of it though, is the battery life. The 650 has a 10 hour lifespan on a full charge, and has a fast-charge ability. So five minutes of time on the charger will net you three hours of play time. That is awesome, especially coming from someone who’s main complaint about wireless mice is that they take too long to charge.

The 650 will run you $119.99 USD, while the 710 comes in at just $99 which makes it a great choice if you’re looking for a high quality cheap gaming mouse.
