Star Wars Battlefront II has seen many a player fight their way across it’s Last Jedi worlds. EA has some numbers to share while they amp up talk about even more updates.
The Last Jedi
Actually, both The Last Jedi (the movie) and Battlefront II have had some hurdles. Apparently though, both are doing pretty well. While we know the film is a smash with fans and critics (despite some negative word of mouth), it was less of a sure thing that Battlefront II would perform at retail.
Kind of looks like it’s doing pretty solid though, if these numbers from EA are to be believed. According to the publisher, in The Last Jedi “season” alone, “players completed over 10 million quests for either the First Order or the Resistance and engaged in desperate showdowns on Crait over 156 million times.”
Even if you’re a Battlefront II hater, you have to admit those are pretty impressive digits. Go ahead and click the image for more, as EA has packed ’em in.
As for the game’s future, it’s looking pretty bright.
The company says that it’s continuing to listen to fan feedback, and is set to deliver on some suggestions for the mostly-multiplayer FPS. And yes, that includes changes to the progression system.
Here’s what’s coming up:
- A revamped progression system – Player feedback has been essential here, and we are preparing significant changes to progression that will address many of the things we’ve seen players asking for. While we can’t go into too much detail right now, we’ll be sharing more details in March.
- A game mode called Jetpack Cargo coming in February – Two teams of eight players equipped with jet packs compete in Jetpack Cargo, a frantic, fast-paced way to play. This mode will only be available for a limited time, so don’t miss it.
- A new Season coming soon – We’ve learned a lot from the first season of content for Star Wars Battlefront II, and we’re integrating that learning into our plans moving forward. We know players are waiting for details on what’s coming in the next season, and we’ll have more to tell soon.
