Fatal Fury’s Geese Howard coming to Tekken 7

Already crossed over with Capcom’s Street Fighter universe, Bandai Namco’s just launched Tekken 7 is about to dive into Fatal Fury.

Fatal Geese

You might not recognize the name immediately, well unless you’re a mighty big fighting game fan that is. Thing is though, Geese Howard is easily one of the biggest baddies in not just the Fatal Fury series, but in SNK’s entire King of Fighters universe. And now he’s on the way to Tekken 7.

This is a pretty interesting move from both Bandai Namco and SNK. The two companies really haven’t worked together before, though they’ve both worked with Capcom. The Street Fighter publisher seems to be a common thread, as it’s fighters have crossed paths with both SNK and Tekken characters. Actually, now that Geese will be in Tekken 7, representatives from all three universes will be in one game.

As a fighting game fan, that’s pretty awesome all by itself. It also gives me plenty of ideas though, about future crossover possibilities. Street Fighter/Tekken/SNK anyone? Yeah, that’d be a blockbuster and a half. So cross your fingers that this might be a very early first step towards something like that.

Geese Howard will be a part of the next round of DLC for Tekken 7, and you can expect him sometime this winter.
