The Game Awards are in, and at the top is Overwatch
Another year, and once again we ask ourselves which of the games we played were the best. Pretty much everyone is going to have their own personal list, and opinions will always differ. That being said, the official Game Awards have spoken. Overwatch is the one who is taking home the grand prize of game of the year at this Game Awards. It went up against some strong competition, Doom, Inside, Titfanfall 2 and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. It didn’t win just that though, as a full list of the awards is located below.

Notable standouts are Doom’s surprise comeback winning two awards, the indie game That Dragon Cancer taking an award, and Inside managing to score a duo of its own. Like Overwatch, some of these Game Awards outcomes were expected, such as Civilization VI winning best strategy game. However, there will be plenty more GOTY awards to keep things interesting. Heck, Brutal Gamer has some coming soon. Stick around.
