7 Days to Die coming to PS4 and Xbox One

The survival genre is getting a new addition to the Xbox One and Playstation 4 this  summer with the release of 7 Days to Die, developed by The Fun Pimps and published by Telltale Games. World War 3 has occurred and it has left a desolate and barren wasteland where players have to survive. Gamers will need to learn how to survive by fighting off starvation as well as protecting themselves from the elements. Sounds like a pretty typical survival game, right? Not so much as every seven days, the blood moon rises and the a terrifying hordes of zombies are unleashed. A survival mode combined with a horde mode combined with a zombie mode, that is the creation of 7 Days to Die.

Below is a developer interview with Richard Huenink, producer and designer at The Fun Pimps, and Dave Lang, CEO of Iron Galaxy. In this interview, they discuss how the game came to be about, some of the obstacles of porting this popular PC game to consoles, and discuss the core elements of the game.

The survival genre brings some new core game elements to the table. To those unfamiliar with survival games, players will be tasked with making sure they are eating enough food and drinking enough water. The environment can also prove to be as deadly an enemy as the zombies. So now not only are gamers worried about a horde of zombies, they must multitask to survive.

Lock the doors and dims the lights as 7 Days to Die is set for release on June 28th on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. By pre-ordering the game, gamers will have access to five different skins from previous Telltale titles.
