Next Rocket League DLC is launching next week

Psyonix’s Rocket League is set to receive its second injection of DLC done right on Oct. 13.

The content package includes a number of new cosmetic items, including new toppers and boosts will be available for a reasonable $3.99.

Also included with the new cosmetic items are two classic cars from the original Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, the Scarab and Zippy. Other additions include six new deals for each new car, a new wheel type for each car, two new boosts, four new toppers (including a toy train that rides around the top of your car), two new antennas from the original game, and five trophies and achievments.

In addition to the paid content, the “Revenge of the Battle Cars” patch will include weather variations of two current arenas.

According to an official forum post from Psyonix, the variations will be “the last ‘regulation-style’ maps you’ll see for while, by the way, as our next few arenas after those will focus on more “unusual” layouts and settings.”

The inclusion of free content makes sure that even people who don’t want to shell out a few bucks for new content can still experience something fresh in their game. Whether or not Psyonix’s admirable approach to DLC continues into the future when different types of arenas are introduced remains to be seen.
