You want some horror? SOMA’s got your horror. Creepy, weird, highly-strange horror.
As only a casual horror fan myself, I’d like to add – NOPE.
And while I definitely am a little unnerved by that trailer, I have to admit that SOMA looks like a pretty phenomenal game. Made by Frictional Games, the fine (and disturbed) folks that produced Amnesia, SOMA takes place in an underwater research station, where just about everything has gone wrong. It’s how wrong though, that’s up to you to discover, and there’s nary a plasmid in sight.
The radio is dead, food is running out, and the machines have started to think they are people. Underwater facility PATHOS-II has suffered an intolerable isolation and we’re going to have to make some tough decisions. What can be done? What makes sense? What is left to fight for?
You will be afraid of well, pretty much everything, when SOMA hits the PC and PS4 on September 22nd.
