The stunning intro segment for Halo 5: Guardians has been released by Microsoft, and it’s a beyond beautiful look at one of the Spartan teams you’ll be playing as heading into battle.
Obviously, that was Locke and his Spartan team featured there, which probably means that you’ll be playing as the ‘other’ squad at the onset of Halo 5’s campaign. Aside form the newest star in the Halo universe (Locke) that also includes the newly promoted (ODST to Spartan) Buck, played once again by Castle and Serenity actor Nathan Fillion.
Where that leaves series hero John-117 and his team is a mystery, though we know that all of the above will figure into the campaign for Halo 5: Guardians. It’s a story that’s still something of a question mark, though we know also that the Arbiter is a part of things as well and, as seen in the trailer, so are the last vestiges of the Covenant and the Promethians.
Lots to be revealed, but it’s probably safe to say at this point that Halo 5 is going to be one pretty shooter. Halo 5: Guardians hits the Xbox One on October 27th.
