The Reavers of Blood Bowl aren’t doing so well as of late, and it’ll be up to you to fix all that in the all-new story mode.
Looks pretty good to me. I was a huge fan of the original PC game from the 90s, but the lack of a story mode in a game based in what’s really a very deep, story-drenched world always seemed a bit odd, even though it is a ‘sports’ title at heart.
That all get a revamp here in Blood Bowl II though, as an actual campaign takes some of the emphasis this time around. It sounds kind of cool too, with gamers guiding a fallen team back up to the championship level that they once enjoyed. Kind of cool.
You might recall that initially the game was set for June launch, but that was shelved to put a little more polish on this little gem. the wait will; actually be worth it for prospective players though, as Blood Bowl II will get an extra free race as an apology for the added wait.
If you pre-order the game now, you’ll get to pick between the Lizardmen or the Wood Elves on both consoles or the PC. Although PC gamers get a little extra nicety in the form of a playable beta, which will arrive a few weeks ahead of the full-on release.
Look for Blood Bowl II to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 22nd, 2015.
