Tommy Refenes and Edmund McMillen, creators of Super Meat Boy, are finally bringing the critically acclaimed game to our favorite console!
Today in an aptly titled blog post, “Better late than never…”, Team Meat announced the news of Super Meat Boy‘s PlayStation debut. When the game originally launched, the developersentered into contract agreements that prohibited release on PlayStation consoles. In their blog post they say they were offered an opportunity to re-release the game and, despite the difficulty of the process, they wanted to do this for their PlayStation fans.
Here’s an awesome trailer to hype you for the fall release!
The best news is the game will be FREE for PlayStation Plus members! A great way to say thanks for waiting to the PlayStation die-hards and I think the fans will greatly appreciate the gesture. It will release on PS4 and PS Vita this fall.
I’m very excited for this release. I still haven’t played this game and I’m definitely going to give it a try. Are you excited? Let us know in the comments below or tweet at me! @lmrome3
