A “leaderboard-driven, competitive sniping game”, Hitman: Sniper is looking like a whole lot of fun for mobiles, and a nice addition to the Hitman mobile family.
Already something of a pretty big hit is Hitman Go, a tactical assassination game that saw release a while back. Hitman: Sniper is a completely different beast, but one that looks like it’s definitely worth fans’ while.
Set in idyllic Montenegro, Agent 47 is in town with a few folks to kill. So, the usual then. Gameplay is pretty straightforward, which is definitely what you want out of a mobile title, and has you tapping and swiping to snipe enemies (and objects) and reload, from a fixed position.
Though you won’t be moving around any in this one, there’s still plenty of action since you’ll have to take out targets through direct, as well as indirect means. So you might have to shoot at an object to cause an ‘accidental’ death, or knock something over to cover-up a body. Sounds pretty awesome actually.
More than 100 missions are included in all, and you’ll unlock new rifles as you play too, so you won’t have to worry about getting bored of using just one weapon. Hitman: Sniper is available right now on the App Store and Google Play for $4.99 USD.
