Get reacquainted with team Shaolin in Mortal Kombat X

Some of the greatest and most popular kombatants from Mortal Kombat are back from MKX… but they’re not exactly the same fun-loving guys you remember.

Well, that’s some gore right there, isn’t it? I mean, yow, that fatality…

Aside from a little more of the old blood & guts though, it’s pretty cool to see some ‘bad’ versions of Kung Lao and Liu Kang running around. And sure Kang has been a ‘zombie’ before in MK lore, but never quite something like this. This time around, both Kang and Lao are raised from the dead and under the control of the evil Shinnok, which should be an interesting addition to the ambitious story-based ‘campaign’ that developer NetherRealm has worked into the game.

From NetherRealm and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, Mortal Kombat X launches on consoles and the PC on April 14th.
