If you’re looking to buy into Sony’s game-streaming set-top box, you’re in luck.
While I suppose this means that the PlayStation TV isn’t exactly performing as well as Sony expected, it’s nonetheless a pretty awesome little deal for what’s actually a cool piece of hardware. Originally designed to basically play Vita games on your big screen, the PSTV streams from a PS4 as well, meaning that you can play your console from an alternate room than where you have it set up.
This is particularly great if you have a lot of digital games, or don’t have access to a Vita, as the PS portable can pretty much do the same thing. In any event, it’s a neat little device is what I’m trying to say- and now it’s even cheaper.
Shaving the rice tags of the the basic unit and the ‘value bundle’, US retailers have put the PSTV on a permanent price cut. You can now nab a stripped-down basic PSTV for only $79.99 and that value bundle (which includes The LEGO Movie Game, a controller, and a memory card) for $99.99.
Not bad at all if you’re into a little game streaming.
