Loose Seinfeld references aside, Avengers NOW! is an almost complete overhaul of the number one superhero team in the Marvel U. With the new Iron Man (well, his attitude anyway), the female Thor, and Falcon playing the role of Captain America, this is a very different team indeed. And it’s really one that embodies the spirit of the modern Marvel U on the whole, which itself seemingly changes radically by the month.

Just how long this current roster will hold up is anyone’s guess, especially since Marvel’s big guns aren’t going to stay on the shelf forever, but there’s another Avengers team coming up soon as well with the reformed Uncanny Avengers that Marvel has been teasing for the last two days. That squad is a very different one than this, and has more of a roster that longtime Marvel fans should be right at home with.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
