Focus Home and Rogue Factor’s new turn-based RPG based in the Warhammer universe is shaping up nicely.
Honestly, the medieval fantasy-set Warhammer universe just doesn’t get the love that Warhammer 40k does. Sure both of Games Workshop’s IP’s have been around for a long time now and both have plenty of fans/players in the tabletop realm, but in gamingdom it’s no contest- 40k wins by a mile.
There are better games based in that futuristic side of Warhammer and way more of them in general. Developer Rogue Factor will of course, be looking to change that with the release of Mordheim: City of the Damned. Based in one of the more niche RPG’s that Games Workshop created in the Warhammer universe, Mordheim is a turn-based role-player that sets players in charge of warbands that roam a city that fell to chaos after the passing of a twin-tailed comet.
Needless to say, it’s not a great place to hang out if you’re not looking for a fight. If you are though, well then it’s exactly where you want to be… as long as you have plentiful backup that is. Mordheim: City of the Damned launches on the PC through Steam’s Early Access program later this month, so be on watch for it.
