Go behind the scenes on Geometry Wars 3

The new trailer for Sierra’s Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions takes series fans behind the scenes to see what’s developer Lucid Games has in store.

I can’t get over seeing that Sierra logo on something again. Pretty awesome to see they’re back in some form. Also pretty cool- Geometry Wars 3. The game looks flat-out gorgeous and actually is doing some things that GW has never done before. Personally, Lucid Dreams probably could have made it the same experience as GW2 and I would have played the heck out of it, but it sure is nice to have something new and interesting to screw around with.

The move to multiplayer is a huge one for sure, and it looks like there are a whole mess of fun things that playing with three other gamers can lead to, but I think it’s even bigger to see that the play boards themselves are now in 3D. Not just 2D fields now, the levels in GW3 are fully animated, rotate, and even feature boss characters for you and your trusty ship to take down. That’s definitely going a long way towards keeping the core experience new and exciting.

There’s no release date as of yet for this one, but you can definitely to expect to see Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions appearing on the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC at some point in 2015.
