YouTube Planning To Buy Twitch!

Streamers everywhere, be warned – Twitch might be the next purchase under the Google banner. YouTube reportedly wants to purchase the streaming network for $1 Billion. Nothing official as of yet but it is on good authority that the deal is being prepped for shareholders and the like. This would be a phenomenal deal for Twitch, which has raised $35 million to date. Gaming content has become one of the most popular categories on YouTube.  YouTube already has the tools in place to stream on their site to allow live streaming, but it is Twitch that has become not only the biggest destination for video game streaming, but one of the biggest live streaming platforms around.

How would YouTube be integrated into Twitch’s already established framework? This is yet to be seen, however it will be a given that they will integrate Google hangouts into it. It will be interesting to see how this is implemented.
