Altergeist set to spook fans, looks for host city for premier

Horror fans take note, Altergeist and director Tedi Sarafian are on the lookout for a city to host the film’s premier in. Place your vote and it could be yours.

In ALTERGEIST, King’s Ransom Winery is widely considered one of the most haunted places in North America due to a long history of bizarre deaths from gruesome suicides and murders, along with suspicious fires, and strange otherworldly phenomena which appear with disturbing frequency. Led by Theresa Augland, a group of six paranormal investigators conducts a search for evidence of the other side and begin to witness strange happenings.  As long-buried memories and deep-seated fears bubble to the surface, they are terrified to learn that even the winery’s ghosts fear the truly sinister presence that has haunted the family estate for generations.

In reality, perhaps most disturbing, however, is the fact that these are all based on true events.

You might recognize Sarafian’s name form Tank Girl and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, both movies that her wrote. Altergeist is the first feature film that the scribe is actually directing though, and he’s looking for the biggest horror fan-city in the US in order to host a premier with all the trimmings.

The movie hit the festival circuit last month at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival and not only got several offers for distribution, but also high marks from viewers. Now the production company, headed up by Aaron Heck, is looking to make a splash by getting fans of all things horror-centric to vote in the “Demand my City’ campaign.

All you need to do to be a part is fill out a short questionnaire, and you could be on your way to a premier screening and then some. “Sarafian, cast members and the producers will attend the premiere screening in the city with the most online votes, and certain lucky voters will be invited to the premiere party, announced Aaron Heck, President HeckArt Studios.”

To enter the competition, head over here and cast your vote. Two Grand Prize winners will receive a pair of tickets to the premier party and the screening, as well as airfare and hotel accommodations for one night. In addition, 25 voters from the city that wins the competition will get a pair of tickets each to the post-premier screening that they helped secure. If that’s not enough for you, you’ll also get an autographed Altergeist poster to hang in your own dungeon of spooky frights should you be one of those magical 25.

Above- your face if you win
