Check out the latest screenshots of Mario Kart 8 that Nintendo has released. These courses were shown in the trailer displayed in the most recent Nintendo Direct.
Well the new names have been revealed for these two games, and to my surprise, the cloudy course turned out not to be Sky Garden. Despite its similar appearance, this is a brand new stage. The name of this course is Cloud Top Cruise, and as the stage indicates it takes place in the sky. The screenshot is basically a teaser for what the level has to offer. Just like the in-game footage, it’s vibrant and colorful, and just looking at it reminds you of a bright summer day. The other image provided is Bone Dry Ruins; yet again another teaser for what we should expect to see come release of MK8. Again, great use of lighting and color, the choices the developers made really make these stages come alive.
Based on the rate of exposure as of late, we should expect to see more Mario Kart 8 screenshots, maybe even footage in the next couple of weeks. It makes sense, considering how close we are to release. Mario Kart 8 is expected to be released for the Wii U May 30th.
