The Winter Soldier to invade Disney Stores this month

Well before the release of the major motion picture Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Disney Stores will have an exclusive Marvel Select figure of the title villain on the shelves.

Based on the most recent appearances of the character in his self-titled book, Diamond Select Toys’ version of the Winter Soldier (Bucky Barnes) is designed to be the most definitive version of the character ever cast in plastic.

Bucky comes complete with a really cool display base with a ‘shattered’ window and a full arsenal of hardware including a pistol, machine gun and sniper rifle. That sculpt looks really fantastic too and I love the pouches and the detailing on the robotic arm. Cool stuff. He’s also no slouch in the articulation department. I don’t know if you can really tell in the picture, but Buck has 16 points of articulation on his 7″ frame, which is pretty great for the line.

You’ll be able to find The Winter Soldier at Disney Stores, DisneyStore.com and MarvelStore.com sometime mid-month; Captain America: The Winter Soldier (which looks nothing short of awesome) will be in theaters on April 4th, 2014.
